Dave DeLeon is a singer/songwriter originally from Mt. Clemens, MI, currently based in Seattle, WA, U.S.A. He has been performing music for nearly 25 years.
Dave cut his teeth in the world of music at age 20 as the keyboard player for an East Lansing, MI jam band called Jo Mama's Bakery (1992-1994). After moving to Seattle in 1996, Dave played guitar in a circus-rock and fusion band called The Grumpus Ensemble, formed by East Lansing transplants (1996-2000).
After a brief stint as a solo artist in the early 2000s, Dave founded and fronted the three-piece indie rock band Snakes and Horses (2004-2006), and later played lead guitar for Seattle mega-group Super Geek League (2008-2010).
All the while, Dave never stopped writing songs, or longing for the venue to deliver them. 2012 found Dave returning to his more simplified singer-songwriter format, which is where we find him now.
For amplified shows, Dave employs the use of self-made backing tracks to add punch and drive the material home. He plays a Gibson SG through a Marshall combo, not hesitating to take solos during many of the songs. His music is uplifting and life-affirming, dealing with themes of loss and personal transformation through self-discovery.
Dave recently broke onto the Seattle club scene as a solo artist and is currently preparing for a West Coast tour in Feb. 2016. He can often be found playing at the Pike Place Market in Seattle, especially during the summer months. He is currently working on completing a full-length album.
